Mission Statement

Kids-N-Critters Mission Statement

Kids-N-Critters is a

Non-Profit organization funded by the

State of Connecticut Department of Education,

founded in 1997 by

Frank A. Halish at Windsor High School.

The Kids-N-Critters program serves to reach very diverse members of the high school student body offering a hands-on learning experience in animal care and education.

As a member of the Kids-N-Critters program, students gain Leadership skills, develop Public Speaking skills, as well as actively participate in Public Presentations, and enhance their Community Service Involvement efforts.

Through the Kids-N-Critters program high schools students are able to make a direct impact and inspire many younger students in the elementary schools and their teachers when they travel to conduct their Public Presentations in elementary classrooms all over the state of Connecticut.

To be involved in the Kids-N-Critters program a successful student must adhere to strict academic standards and meet the minimum requirement of maintaining C average or better in all areas of academic studies.
